Few Weeks ago, the immediate past Vice Chancellor of Federal University Wukari – PROF. ABUBAKAR MUSA KUNDIRI paid me a courtesy visit.
When Prof Abubakar Kundiri, the immediate past Vice Chancellor of Federal University Wukari took over the reigns of leadership, almost everything was without form and void. Having been established by former President Goodluck Jonathan, the University was faced with various challenges that Prof. Kundiri tried his best to tackle.
Prof Kundiru’s leadership style changed the fortunes of Federal University Wukari. From having no accredited academic programmes and no standard infrastructure for effective teaching and learning to becoming the ninth best university in Northern part of Nigerian. This is no mean feat!
Through the transformational leadership of Prof. Kundiri, FUWAKARI is now light years ahead of many other institutions that started at the same time.
Today, all of us at DFC welcomed my friend, brother and associate Prof Kundiri to our office, celebrating his accomplishments and giving him an award of honor to celebrate his legacies of transformational leadership during his time as the Vice Chancellor of Federal University Wukari, Taraba State.
